about

Originally from Miami, Florida, Marissa is an actor, singer and voice over artist based in New York City (Sunnyside, Queens representing).

A graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy and Circle in the Square Theatre School, Marissa has a career that has spanned Theatre, Voice Over and Film/TV/New Media.

She fondly remembers first falling in love with performing while playing a singing and dancing latke in her Jewish Day School’s Hanukkah production. Shortly after, that little potato pancake started cultivating the skills and passion to become a deeply emotive, compelling, and truth-seeking artist. As a theatrical performer, she has toured nationally and performed regionally in exceptional houses such as Ogunquit Playhouse, North Shore Music Theatre and Actor’s Playhouse. She’s also bopped around the New York scene in a few productions, including a groundbreaking adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Cell.

Marissa is an accomplished audiobook narrator with over 200 titles on Audible. She works out of her broadcast quality home studio and shares many duet projects with one of her dearest friends in the world (you can check him out at www.alexperone.com). You can access her samples and get to know her aurally on the “listen” page.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three adorable kitties who are the little lights of her life, except for her incredible nieces and nephew who make her world go round. When she’s not being Aunt Rissi, she enjoys cooking and sharing meals with her friends, going to see theatre and stand up comedy with her husband, golf (a new hobby, go easy on her), skin care, strength training, puzzles, singing and seeking out the most choice slice of pizza NYC has to offer.
